Thinking about adding a swimming pool to your Gold Coast home? A fibreglass pool is a smart, stylish choice that suits a wide range of families, backyards, and budgets.
Here’s why more locals are turning to fibreglass swimming pools over other options for lap pools, plunge pools, or swim spas.
One of the biggest advantages of fibreglass pools is how quickly they can be installed. Unlike concrete pools, which can take months, a fibreglass pool shell arrives pre-formed and ready to drop into place.
That means your new swimming pool can often be swim-ready in just a couple of weeks, depending on site and weather conditions.
Fibreglass pools are built to last. Due to their tough, non-reactive surface, structural layer, and outer sealer coat, they are well-equipped to resist wear and tear.
When installed by authorised pool builders, they require less upkeep over the years. In fact, some come with a lifetime interior surface guarantee.
The great thing about a fibreglass pool is its gelcoat interior surface finish, which feels smooth underfoot. As it’s gentle on skin and has no sharp edges to worry about, it’s perfect for kids. This makes family life around the pool safer and more enjoyable.
Each fibreglass Gold Coast swimming pool has a non-porous surface and an anti-corrosion barrier. This reduces the risk of algae buildup and protects against harsh pool chemicals. As a result, the swimming pool water is cleaner, and there are fewer treatment costs and less time required for scrubbing.
With lower installation costs, fewer ongoing maintenance expenses due to their smooth, non-abrasive surfaces, and energy-efficient filtration systems, fibreglass pools offer fantastic value.

At Splash in Style, we work with the fibreglass pool manufacturer to make sure the installation of your family pool is as stress-free as possible. Here’s an overview of what we do right from the start to get the pool ready.
We start by assessing the suitability of your Gold Coast property for any of our extensive range of large pools, compass pools or small pools.

Our team will also provide you with a hassle-free experience by handling all council approvals. This will ensure your Gold Coast fibreglass pool is compliant and ready for construction.
Next, we’ll prepare a clear and easy-to-understand contract that outlines the agreed scope of work, pricing, and timelines. We’ll walk you through the entire process, so there are no surprises during your build.
Once the contract is signed, our experienced construction team gets started.
Your modern design fibreglass pool shell is delivered and installed before plumbing, electrical work, and final landscaping are carried out on it.
When your new pool is ready, we’ll complete a detailed quality check on the pool’s chemical-resistant layer, balance the pool water, and guide you through care, maintenance, and post-installation support.
One of the biggest benefits of fibreglass pools is how easy they are to maintain. With the right approach, your pool will stay sparkling clean and safe for your whole family to enjoy all year round.
To clean your fibreglass Gold Coast swimming pool, use a soft-bristle pool brush to gently sweep the walls and floor. Also, skim leaves and debris daily and empty the skimmer basket weekly.
Test your water at least once a week using a reliable kit. Make sure you keep pH, chlorine, and alkalinity within recommended levels to protect your interior surface finish and ensure swimmer comfort.
Avoid using harsh brushes or tools that could damage the smooth, non-abrasive surfaces. Don’t ignore chemical imbalances because over time, this can damage your pool shell and filtration system.
